I want to be the first to say I completely know how you feel.
How?
Because when I got my my first dog over 25 years ago I had no clue what I was doing. No matter what I did the dog wouldn't listen, pulled me on leash EVERYWHERE, and re- landscaped my parents yard several times over!
I loved my dog but I just didn't know how to communicate with him. The guilt of being frustrated and sometimes even angry at him ate me up inside because I knew ultimately it was me, not him.
I understand your struggle because I was there.
Socratic Canine is my way of helping all of you avoid the time, money, and most of all, frustration and confusion that I went through trying things that simply didn't work. I went through it all already, so there's no reason you have to!
